The senior research fellow will conduct postdoctoral research (individual publications and contribution to common research projects) in the field of public international law, with particular emphasis on global animal law or international law and emotions. Teaching at the law faculty of the University of Heidelberg (mainly in German) can possibly be arranged in consultation with the faculty. The position is open to candidates interested in acquiring a postdoctoral academic qualification in the form of a postdoctoral thesis (or a German Habilitation) or other publications. Further details are subject to agreement.
The position is based on a 3-year fixed-term contract with the option for extension under certain conditions. The starting date of the position is expected to be in 2024, with details being negotiable.
Place of work is the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg.
The salary and social benefits are provided according to the regulations of the Max Planck Society and the Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst (TVöD-Bund).
