The Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law (MPIL) in Heidelberg is seeking, as soon as possible, candidates interested in a research position in the projects of Prof. Dr. Armin von Bogdandy.

 This call is addressed to individuals aiming to pursue an advanced academic qualification (e.g. doctoral degree, habilitation, second book).

Research Position in the Projects of Prof. Dr. Armin von Bogdandy (ICCAL)

Areas of Work and Focus

  • Participation in the ICCAL Collaboration-Lab project on democratic resilience, in particular through comparative work on the Federal Constitutional Court and the Constitutional Court of Colombia.

Your Profile

  • Law degree with honors (“Prädikatsexamen”)
  • Sound knowledge of constitutional, EU, or public international law
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
  • Analytical thinking, academic writing skills, and motivation
